USPS Raised Rates Again.
USPS Shipping Rates Going Up Again:
As of January 26th, 2020 Priority Mail postal
rates are going up again and that means our shipping costs are too.
Unfortunately the rate increase is not the same across the
board. The post office uses zones to determine
shipping rates and the increase is not consistent. Zones are based on how far a package is being
shipped. Below is a chart of the rate
increase for US shipments. These are NOT the price for shipping, just the
rate increases from 2019 to 2020.
Priority Mail will go up by an average of 2%
International Priority will go up by an average of 6%
So why does BHC ship Priority Mail only, you may ask.
Simple: Time and Security.
Priority general takes 2 or 3 days (not counting Sunday) to
ship anywhere in the US including Alaska and Hawaii. Every package is insured, tracked and tagged
with GPS coordinates when delivered.
These features allow us to work with USPS to find and or replace an item
if it is lost during shipping. This does
not happen often, but when it does we are able to resolve the situation more
quickly with the extra information and tracking Priority offers us.
